ANOTHER nail-biter between Gray and Boak in Round 18, with Team Boak just getting over my boys by 49 points, thanks mainly to a zero from Jimmy Bartel which I wasn’t able to cover.

I’ll keep it brief this week as there’s not long until lock-out in this all-important first round of finals. If you’re like me and you’re in an elimination final, go hard!

If you’ve got trades remaining, make them, because there may not be a tomorrow for you in the Dream Team competition. Take a risk with your choice of captain and take a risk with your trades. Go with the unusual, unique player who isn’t picked by many Dream Teamers.

If you’re like me and more than 125,000 other Dream Team coaches and you’ve got the big man from Fremantle, Aaron Sandilands in your team, you’ve got a big decision to make. The big rumour going around is that he’s out until the finals. That’s big news, and your decision with Sandilands could be the difference between a title and an also-ran.

I’ve got cover for him in Jackson Trengove and Jordan Roughead, so I think I may hold on to him for one more week to find out a bit more on his injury. I did toy with the idea of bringing Patty Ryder in or even trading him down to a rookie for cash, but I’ve got plenty in the bank so I think I’ll look at spending the cash elsewhere.

The other big rumour going around the traps is that Paul Chapman is out for Geelong and he’ll be replaced by James Podsiadly. Not sure if it’s true, but it could have a big influence on a LOT of teams around the country.

Whatever you do, back yourself and be bold with your decision making.

Congratulations to Dave Rerden whose team posted the highest score for Round 18. Dave’s team SPORTS SYSTEMS racked up a handy total of 2,295, which means he’ll be tucking into a week’s worth of pizza thanks to Pizza Hut.

Could it be any closer at the top of the overall Official Power Pizza Hut Dream Team Rankings, Steven Brown taking a narrow lead of 55 points over Jamie Ainsworth’s REDRAT FC. With just four rounds to go, the major prize is still well and trul up for grabs.
