The Port Adelaide Football Club confirms MyATM and Soaring Securities will not continue as joint major sponsors in 2012.

Chief executive officer Keith Thomas thanked both companies for their support of Port Adelaide and said the parties were still discussing what level of involvement they will have going forward.

Mr Thomas said discussions with potential new major partners were well advanced, given the club had been aware for some time that it was unlikely MyATM and Soaring Securities would continue at the top level.

“We are in great conversations with a number of organisations about the substantial opportunities that exist through corporate support of Port Adelaide. We’d like to think we are close to securing a new major sponsor for 2012 and beyond,” Mr Thomas said.

“The Port Adelaide Football Club has more than 140 years of heritage and a loyal army of passionate supporters behind it, and we are at the forefront of an exciting new era in football in South Australia. We are encouraged by the response we are receiving from companies and organisations that could be a part of that.”

Mr Thomas said the club was working on several models including continuing with the option of joint major partners, and other innovative packages.

MyATM has been a major partner of the Port Adelaide Football Club since 2010, while Soaring Securities came on board in 2011.

“Both MyATM and Soaring Securities have been very supportive partners and we will continue to talk with them about future opportunities,” Mr Thomas said.

“We thank them for the substantial backing they have provided to the club.”

The club will make further comment when it is appropriate.
