DEFENDER Jackson Trengove is a chance to make a shock early return from finger surgery in Balfours Showdown XXXIII.

Trengove, who was named as an emergency in the Power’s 25 on Thursday night, underwent surgery following the Round 12 clash with the Bulldogs and was initially expected to miss four weeks.

But General Manager - Football Operations Peter Rohde said he’s recovered much quicker than expected.

“He’s come along quite well since the surgery,” Rohde saide.

“He’ll train today and if he gets through ok we’ll consider bringing him into the side.

“He has to prove his finger is alright, but we also need to be happy he’s done enough training.”

Trengove will train with the team today at Alberton.
