JAY Schulz has been cleared of any internal injury following a big knock in the final quarter of the win over the Blues.

Schulz, who booted three goals in the game, fearlessly attacked a contested ball in the middle of the ground and got up holding his side. He was replaced in the game a short time later by sub Andrew Moore.

The scans in hospital last night cleared the key forward of internal damage but he has bruising around his ribs.

Schulz will be assessed during the week ahead of Sunday's game against Hawthorn at AAMI Stadium.
