The Port Adelaide Football Club has launched its 2013 membership campaign - We Are Port Adelaide: Show Your True Passion.
We have a range of great value membership options to suit every Port Adelaide supporter.
[ADELAIDE OVAL 2014: WE'RE COMING HOME - FULL DETAILS HERE]
We want all of our people to JOIN THE CLUB and become a part of Port Adelaide’s new era as we embark on our final season of AFL at AAMI Stadium and the journey to the outstanding future that awaits our Members at Adelaide Oval.
One of the greatest benefits of AFL’s move to Adelaide Oval will be the range of options available to the sporting public, including membership packages offered by the Port Adelaide Football Club, the South Australian Cricket Association (SACA) and the Adelaide Oval Stadium Management Authority (AOSMA).
The variety of options has given rise to some questions that the Port Adelaide Football Club would like to answer.
What is the Adelaide Oval Ultimate Membership I am hearing about?
This is a year-round product being offered by AOSMA that will cost $795 per annum, providing access to all sporting events at Adelaide Oval and priority access to other events.
While this package will suit some people, it is important to understand it is NOT a membership of the Port Adelaide Football Club, and does not provide the benefits that come with it - including direct communication from the club, voting rights, Member discounts and your annual Member pack.
Money from the Adelaide Oval Ultimate membership does not go to Port Adelaide, although it does support the cost of running the venue and therefore supports the organisations that use it.
Adelaide Oval Ultimate membership provides seating in the Western Grandstand and in an area of the Southern Grandstand, with a combined capacity of 17,500. But this seating is not reserved and tickets are not transferable to family or friends.
I am a PAFC Essential Power Member, what does this mean to me at Adelaide Oval?
All 2013 PAFC Essential Power Members have priority to register for Adelaide Oval Ultimate Membership from 2014 under terms directly communicated to you in recent correspondence.
You can also elect to remain a PAFC Essential Power Member beyond 2013, with all of your existing benefits.
At Adelaide Oval, PAFC Essential Power Members will have access to unreserved seating in the Western Grandstand and a section of the Southern Grandstand. Unlike Adelaide Oval Ultimate Members, your PAFC Essential Power membership WILL be transferable, as it is at AAMI Stadium.
Why should I choose a Port Adelaide Football Club membership at Adelaide Oval?
There is no doubt that football supporters want flexibility and choice with their seating and ticket arrangements, plus they also want to know that they are directly supporting their club financially.
They want a personal connection with their club and they want to be part of it, and for these people a Port Adelaide Football Club membership is the best solution.
The overwhelming feedback we’ve had from our members is that they want to know they are supporting the club directly and they want that personal connection.
Port Adelaide members receive valuable advantages, including direct communication, membership packs, access to exclusive apparel, discount offers and most importantly the sense of belonging to their club and knowing they are supporting its journey to success.
Platinum Members receive guaranteed grand final access if Port Adelaide is a competing team, while Gold Members receive a grand final ticket priority if the Power is competing.
PAFC Essential Power Members can purchase upgrades to these categories.
What should Club 1870, Platinum, Gold or Silver Members do?
You do not have to do anything except renew your membership for 2013.
Season ticket members who renew or join the club by 28 February will be guaranteed a seat in the equivalent category at Adelaide Oval from 2014. You will also receive the first opportunity to accept or upgrade the seat we allocate, early in 2013.
You might want to consider upgrading your category in 2013 to ensure access to the best areas from 2014.
Other 2013 membership categories without season ticket access will receive priority access to select their seating at Adelaide Oval from 2014.
It is important to note that our Club 1870, Premium Platinum, Gold and Silver membership categories will provide reserved seating at Adelaide Oval, in the Southern Grandstand, the Eastern Grandstand and an area at the northern end of the ground.
All you need to do is join up in 2013 before 28 February and we will communicate with you in the early part the year regarding your transition to Adelaide Oval.
We are investing heavily in ensuring that transition to Adelaide Oval is as easy as it can possibly be, with state-of-the-art technology allowing you to confirm your seat and explore all of the options.
What are the benefits of PAFC reserved seating membership at Adelaide Oval?
Port Adelaide’s reserved seating membership categories (Club 1870, Platinum, Gold or Silver) will be the most cost-effective way for our supporters to see us in action at Adelaide Oval, without committing to a year-round offering.
Importantly, these members can pass their reserved seat ticket onto someone else in the weeks they are unable to attend.
With Adelaide Oval providing long-awaited inner-city convenience, many people will want to go somewhere before the game for a drink or meal, knowing their seat is waiting for them at Adelaide Oval.
Those wanting a more relaxed option will have the option of a PAFC General Admission membership, providing entry for all 11 games with access to unreserved seating or standing areas.
I am a SACA Member who wants to go to Port Adelaide games, what do I do from 2014?
You don’t have to do anything.
You can retain your SACA membership for the cricket season and take up one of the many Port Adelaide Football Club membership options for the AFL season.
You can chose from a range of packages, including the PAFC Essential Power membership that entitles you to sit in the Western Grandstand, or one of the options that secure you the convenience of a reserved seat or access to General Admission areas.
The choice is yours.
Thank you
