PORT ADELAIDE forward Robbie Gray has received the perfect 10 votes from the coaches in the 2020 SHADFORTH FINANCIAL GROUP AFLCA CHAMPION PLAYER OF THE YEAR AWARD after a starring performance in his side’s win over Sydney.
Gray had 19 first-half disposals to go with 19 touches, four tackles and three clearances and two goals.
By the end of the game he had 27 disposals, ten score involvements, six tackles and five clearances, having spent time through the midfield and up forward.
He was one of five Port Adelaide players to receive votes after the 26 point win.
Big Charlie Dixon got eight votes from the coaches for his four-goal performance, which also included eight score involvements, five marks and 13 disposals.
Ollie Wines and Sam Powell-Pepper each received three votes while Travis Boak got one, and dropped to third on the overall leaderboard after Melbourne’s Christian Petracca got eight votes in his side’s win over St Kilda to leapfrog him.
Sydney had two players receive votes with Jake Lloyd getting three votes and Josh Kennedy one.
With votes from a number of other games to come, Boak remains 16 votes behind the runaway leader Lachie Neale from Brisbane.
