PORT ADELAIDE forward Zak Butters has been offered a suspension by the AFL’s Match Review Officer after a review of Saturday night’s win over North Melbourne.
Butters was cited for rough conduct for a high bump on the Kangaroos’ Jy Simpkin in the third quarter of the 36-point win at Metricon Stadium on the Gold Coast.
Based on the available evidence, the incident was assessed as careless conduct with high contact and high impact.
Simpkin sat out the rest of the game under the concussion protocols after being assessed by medical staff.
Butters can accept a two-game ban with an early guilty plea.
The club has until tomorrow to determine whether it will challenge the finding.
