BILLY FRAMPTON could return against Central District in Sunday's SANFL First Semi Final if he passes a fitness test on Wednesday.
The first-year ruckman missed Port Adelaide's 29-point loss to West in the qualifying final last Sunday, and the Round 19 game against the Bloods the week before, but will be pushing to face the Bulldogs in the knockout semi this week.
"Billy should be OK to play this week, but needs to get through the Magpies' main session for that to happen," Port Adelaide's head of high performance Darren Burgess told portadelaidefc.com.au.
"We're reasonably comfortable with where he's at, but need to go through all the usual checks for him."
Disappointingly, tall forward Mason Shaw will take no further part in Port Adelaide's SANFL finals campaign after his groin problem flared up against the Bloods.
Shaw struggled in the game, with Burgess saying he won't be able to play for the rest of the year.
"'Mase' is done for the rest of the year, which is really unfortunate, but he struggled with groins again on the weekend so won't be in any of our remaining finals."
Anthony Biemans returned successfully from a knee injury against North in Port Adelaide's reserves qualifying final on Saturday and may be considered for selection in the League team after booting four goals in the Academy's win over the Roosters.
