THE PORT CLUB will be closed from Monday 15th of February as the next part of its redevelopment gets underway.

The latest part of the renovation will see further demolition work and some new walls being erected.

It is hoped that the venue will reopen within a fortnight.

The Port Store and membership counter will open as per normal with membership operating from within the Store for the coming months.

Stage One of the redevelopment of the Port Club is expected to be completed later this year.

Included in the high-class transformation is an interactive museum to showcase the 150-year history of the Port Adelaide Football Club and ensure the stories of the Club and its people are preserved and shared with future generations.

Also included in stage one is also an improved and expanded retail experience with a new Port Store, while there are also plans in stage two for a new sports bar, dining room and separate meeting space upstairs.

“The Port Club will be an incredible meeting place for our members and supporters and the local community, where they can immerse themselves in the past and present of the Port Adelaide Football Club,” said Club CEO Matthew Richardson.

“In order to complete the renovation, the Port Club will need to close for a short period to conduct some demolition work.

“We have made this decision in the interests of the safety and comfort of our staff and patrons and we appreciate their patience both in the next few weeks and throughout the redevelopment.”

The Port Club is expected to reopen by Monday 1 March.

The Port Store will remain open through a new external entrance, maintaining its usual operating hours from 10am-4pm Monday-Friday and 10am-3pm on Saturday.
