In: Gray, Jonas, Mead
Out: Hartlett, Marshall, McKenzie
CAPTAIN Tom Jonas headlines three inclusions for Port Adelaide’s AAMI Community Series game against the Crows.
Jonas was rested for the club’s practice game against Adelaide last week but has been named to face them on Sunday afternoon at Noarlunga.
Experienced forward Robbie Gray also returns to the side having missed the practice game with a split lip, and second-year midfielder Jackson Mead has been named in the AFL side for the first time.
Mead is the son of inaugural John Cahill Medallist and three-time SANFL premiership player Darren Mead.
Todd Marshall (cheek/eye), Trent McKenzie (corky) and Hamish Hartlett (hamstring soreness) have dropped out of the side but all are expected to be available for the club’s season opener against North Melbourne in a fortnight.
During the AAMI Community Series clubs can use up to 26 players, however only 22 can be active at any one time, meaning the four additional players can sub in throughout the match.
The new interchange cap of 75 will also apply.
The game at Noarlunga Oval gets underway at 3:40pm.
