Port Adelaide stalwart and former Australian heavyweight boxing champion Foster Bibron is in the midst of walking from Adelaide to Melbourne.

Foster and his mate Joe Bridges left for Melbourne from AAMI Stadium at the Power v Kangaroos game on Sunday, in an effort to raise money for the Cancer Council. They are officially known as ‘Pugs Fighting for Cancer Research’.

Now, the Port Adelaide Football Club has donated a 2004 Grand Final guernsey, framed and personally signed by all 22 Power premiership players to their cause.

This very special item has just gone up for auction at eBay. It closes in ten days time on Monday 23 April.

Here is a link to the auction page at eBay.

Joe has experienced cancer first hand, losing his wife to breast cancer and he himself suffering from prostate cancer.

It is expected the 800+km walk will take them close to a month to complete.

The funds raised through this auction, being run by the Port Adelaide Football Club, will be donated to the Cancer Council.

Even if you are not the winner of this auction, the Power encourages you to support Foster and Joe’s cause by donating by simply calling the Cancer Council on 1300 65 65 85 and quote ‘Pugs Fighting for Cancer Research’.
