PORT ADELAIDE defender Ryan Burton has been cleared to face Geelong on Thursday night after overcoming knee soreness.
Burton was subbed out of the win over Fremantle, after jarring his knee, but he has recovered well and will be available to tackle the Cats.
Defender Tom Clurey and forward Orazio Fantasia are both on track to be available to return from respective jaw and knee surgeries for the Round 15 game against Sydney, while wingman Xavier Duursma is not far behind following his knee surgery in April.
Midfielder Jackson Mead has recommenced training as he progresses towards a return from a lacerated spleen suffered in April. The 19-year-old is expected to be available to play in a fortnight.
Midfielder/forward Zak Butters has resumed running after recent surgery to release pressure on a nerve around his left knee.
Port Adelaide faces Geelong at Adelaide Oval on Thursday 10 June at 7:10pm ACST.
