Kane Farrell celebrating his freak goal against Geelong on Thursday night.

PORT ADELAIDE forward Kane Farrell has been nominated for the 2021 Rebel AFL Goal of the Year for his incredible outside of the boot effort during the second quarter of Thursday night’s game against Geelong.

The 22-year-old was on the receiving end of a clever over the head handpass from Connor Rozee and picked the ball up off the ground cleanly on the bounce.

He looked up, assessed his options, and went with a banana kick from the wrong pocket for a left footer in an effort which surprised many and the commentators said “defied the laws of physics”.

It was a rare highlight on an otherwise disappointing night.
