PORT ADELAIDE forward Robbie Gray has had surgery on the knee he injured in the club’s win over the Gold Coast at the weekend.
Gray was subbed out of Saturday’s game at half time after tearing the medial ligament in his left knee, with scans revealing it would require surgical repair.
He had the procedure on Monday afternoon and is expected to be sidelined for eight weeks.
Defender Lachie Jones will also miss several games after injuring his left hamstring in the win over the Suns.
Midfielder Taj Schofield will have scans to determine the extent of a hamstring injury suffered in the SANFL loss to Sturt on Sunday
Forward Todd Marshall has recovered from the concussion which kept him out of the Gold Coast game and is expected to be available to face Sydney on Saturday night.
Second-year defender Jake Pasini has been removed from the injury list following a shoulder reconstruction and is expected to be available to make his SANFL debut against North on Saturday
Port Adelaide faces the Swans at Adelaide Oval on Saturday night from 7:10pm.
