In: Marshall, Williams (debut)
Out: Gray (injured), Jones (injured), Ladhams (omitted)
PORT ADELAIDE has made three changes for Saturday’s meeting with Sydney, with forward Dylan Williams to make his AFL debut among the inclusions.
Williams – the 23rd pick in the 2019 national draft – becomes the club’s fourth AFL debutant in 2021.
The 19-year-old replaces the injured Robbie Gray in the side, having impressed with eleven goals in his last five SANFL games including six in his last start against Sturt.
Fellow forward Todd Marshall returns after a mandatory week off under the AFL’s concussion protocols and last week’s activated medical substitute Hamish Hartlett holds his place the 22.
Defender Lachie Jones goes out of the side, having injured his hamstring against the Suns last week, and ruck/forward Peter Ladhams has been omitted.
Ladhams is among the emergencies along with Martin Frederick, Sam Mayes and Boyd Woodcock.
The medical substitute will be confirmed from that list of players an hour before the game.
Any player not required at AFL level will be eligible to play at SANFL level for Port Adelaide against North Adelaide at Prospect Oval on Saturday.
The game will also be Connor Rozee’s milestone 50th AFL game.
Port Adelaide will take on Sydney at Adelaide Oval on Saturday from 4:05pm ACST.
