PORT ADELAIDE defender Lachie Jones is expected to be available for selection this week, while forwards Zak Butters and Connor Rozee look to prove their fitness, after respective periods on the sidelines with injury.
Jones suffered a hamstring injury in the Round 14 win over Gold Coast but has been cleared to play after training well last week.
Rozee, who missed the win over St Kilda with knee soreness, will be assessed in training ahead of Friday night’s clash with Collingwood.
Midfielder/forward Butters will also be tested in training with a hope that he too can return to the field this week following a knee injury suffered earlier this month.
Forward Orazio Fantasia is also edging closer to a return following mid-season knee surgery. The 25-year-old continues to increase his training but is likely still a week away from returning to play.
Boyd Woodcock has pulled up well after a corked thigh in the win over St Kilda at the weekend, and the forward is expected to be available for selection.
Port Adelaide will on Thursday evening name its side for Friday night’s encounter with Collingwood at Adelaide Oval.
