PORT ADELAIDE midfielder Willem Drew has been fined for rough conduct following a review of his side’s 27-point win over Greater Western Sydney on Sunday.
Drew was cited by the March Review Officer for a dangerous tackle on Giant Lachie Whitfield in the first quarter of the game at Marvel Stadium.
Based on the available evidence, the incident was assessed as Careless Conduct, Low Impact, with High Contact.
The incident was classified as a $3000 sanction as a first offence but Drew can accept a $2000 sanction with an early guilty plea.
It means Drew will be available to face the Crows in Showdown L on Saturday night.
