SHOWDOWN specialist Robbie Gray could make his return from a knee injury in time to face the Crows in the 50th instalment of the local rivalry.
Gray had surgery on his left knee after tearing the medial ligament during his 250th game against Gold Coast in Round 14.
The 33-year-old will be integrated into full training this week in order to prove his fitness to play in Showdown L and be in the running to add to his record five Showdown Medals.
Ruckman Sam Hayes could also be in the frame to play this week, less than a fortnight after surgery to relocate a dislocated finger.
Hayes required surgery after hurting the finger in a competitive training session involving players from the Western Bulldogs and Melbourne.
First-year midfielder/forward Taj Schofield will aim to prove he is ready to return from a right hamstring strain which has kept him out for the past six weeks.
Forward Steven Motlop is progressing well after ankle surgery and is narrowing in on a return to the field in the next fortnight.
Port Adelaide will on Thursday evening name its side to tackle the Crows.
Saturday night’s game at Adelaide Oval will get underway at 7:10pm ACST.
