Arriving at Port Adelaide in the 2023 trade period, ruck Jordon Sweet returned to South Australia looking for more opportunity at the senior level. Having benefitted from working alongside All-Australian ruckman Tim English, Sweet spent the early years of his career developing his fitness, skill and ruck craft.
A mobile tall with a mature body, the 25-year-old had an outstanding 2024 campaign complementing the Power’s emerging midfield. Standing as the club’s tallest ever player at 206cm, Sweet begun the year in the SANFL before quickly impressing selectors and working his way into the AFL team. Sweet was a mainstay in the side from Round 6 onwards and will look to carry that momentum into 2025.

The Port Adelaide Football Club acknowledges the land on which we train and play, are based on the traditional lands of the Kaurna people. We respect their spiritual relationship with their country. We also acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the traditional custodians of Australia and that their cultural and heritage beliefs are still as important to the living people today.
