A crafty small forward with excellent football IQ, Joe Berry was selected with Port Adelaide’s first pick (pick 15) in the 2024 National Draft. Hailing from Benalla in country Victoria, Berry played for the Murray Bushrangers in 2023 where he kicked 27 goals and was selected at half forward in the Team of the Year. The 18-year-old was also awarded All-Australian honours after kicking nine goals from four games for Victoria Country.
Displaying his trademark football nous and scoring knack, Berry made his AFL debut in Round 1 and will look to keep developing under the tutelage of fellow pressure forwards Willie Rioli, Sam Powell-Pepper and Joe Richards.
