Versatile midfielder/defender Molly Brooksby landed at Alberton as part of the Expansion U18 Talent Pathway Pre-Signing Period. Brooksby was named Norwood’s best first year player after a breakout season in the SANFLW in 2022, announcing herself ahead of her draft year as a solid prospect that will transition well into the AFLW system.
Described as a highly talented and naturally skilled footballer, the 18-year-old has a high football IQ and possesses the ability to use both sides of her body. A reliable teammate, she is known to make good decisions with ball in hand.
The AFLW Academy player donned the Australian jumper for the Academy against the Under 23 All-Stars in 2023, and then played for South Australia in an unbeaten run at the under 18 national championships. Her talent was recognised with a Rising Star nomination for her strong performances against Richmond and Carlton during Round 5.
