Hannah Dunn is an experienced defender with a reputation as a tough and resilient player. She joined Port Adelaide from the Gold Coast Suns in 2022 where she emerged as one of the league’s most skilled defenders. Often tasked with the tough match ups, Dunn’s work rate and ability to win the hard ball makes her a key part to a squad that always aims to play ‘the Port Adelaide way’.
After spending two seasons as captain of the Suns and as a member of Port Adelaide’s leadership group, Dunn brings notable maturity and leadership to Alberton. Her strong hands and clever ball usage is notable, evidenced by her team 2023 ranking in defensive pressure acts (top five) and spoils (top two) for the year. It’s her ability to win the one-on-one contest that makes her a true standout in the backline.
After announcing her pregnancy in earlier in the year, Dunn won't take the field in the 2024 season and will instead spend some time with family during this special time. She hung up the boots at the end of the 2024 season after 45 games.
