Jasmine Simmons is a highly athletic, genuine utility player – arriving at Alberton through a trade with Adelaide ahead of the 2023 AFLW season. After playing football as a junior, she made the switch to basketball and spent three years in the United States playing for Oregon State University. Originally hailing from Broken Hill, the 24-year-old later moved back into footy and spent two seasons with Adelaide.
Standing at an imposing 180 centimetres, Simmons has spent most of her playing time in defence and on the wing however the talented tall can slot into most positions, providing the side with important height and on-field versatility. She played three games with the Power in 2023, providing a composed presence in defence when provided the opportunity.
Simmons was not offered a contract at the end of the 2024 season, bringing her time at the club to a close.
