Defender Amelie Borg was selected with Port Adelaide’s sixth pick in the 2022 NAB AFLW Draft (61 overall). Hailing from North Adelaide in the SANFLW, the lockdown tall boasts impressive mobility and strength that allows her to compete well in the air.
Her one-on-one ability and overall competitive nature is also noteworthy, resulting in a consistent first two seasons with the club where she has played every possible game. She led her side in intercept possessions and spoils in 2023 - an extremely impressive feat for the 19-year-old, especially considering she was consistently tasked with marking her opponents' strongest key forward.
A fan favourite within the Port Adelaide faithful, Borg has shown maturity beyond her years and has shown signs that her strong first-season form is just the very beginning for the young talent.
Honours
- 22under22 final team (2024)
- All-Australian nominee (2024)

The Port Adelaide Football Club acknowledges the land on which we train and play, are based on the traditional lands of the Kaurna people. We respect their spiritual relationship with their country. We also acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the traditional custodians of Australia and that their cultural and heritage beliefs are still as important to the living people today.
