Julia Teakle is a skilled forward that brings height and finesse to Port Adelaide’s inaugural side. Originally hailing from Western Australia, she was a consistent performer for Northampton in the Great Northern Football League in her earlier years, earning two league best and fairest titles in that time. She made her AFLW debut in 2022 and has since played 12 games, having enjoyed a breakout season in 2023 - where, despite a foot injury - saw her solidify a place in Port Adelaide's forward line.
Part of a talented footballing family, she played alongside sister Tiani at East Fremantle in the WAFL before moving to South Australia, and now calls Alberton home. She possesses impressive leadership qualities for her age, named a member of Port Adelaide's emerging leader group at the beginning of the 2023 season. Her rapid improvement was recognised by the coaches, taking home the Coaches' Award at the club's 2023 Best and Fairest.

The Port Adelaide Football Club acknowledges the land on which we train and play, are based on the traditional lands of the Kaurna people. We respect their spiritual relationship with their country. We also acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the traditional custodians of Australia and that their cultural and heritage beliefs are still as important to the living people today.
