FORMER Port Adelaide SANFL Premiership player George Fiacchi has re-joined the club's Board after being the successful candidate in the recent Director member election.

Mr. Fiacchi has previously been a Director on the Board from 2012 to 2019.

Following his successful SANFL football career as seven-time Premiership player, and 236 games for Port Adelaide, Mr Fiacchi built a successful corporate career in media at Australian Radio Network (ARN) in both local and national leadership roles, before founding Fiacchi Media and Management in 2013.

Port Adelaide Chairman David Koch said both Mr. Fiacchi’s football and business knowledge will be a valuable addition to the board.

“I’d like to thank each of the candidates for nominating and putting themselves to the members for election to the Board, and congratulate George on this result,” Mr. Koch said.

“We are pleased a significant number of our members have been engaged and taken the time to vote for the member-elected position.

“We are pleased to welcome George back on the board and know he will make a great contribution, underpinned by his knowledge of both the Port Adelaide Football Club and his business experience.

“A diverse skill set composition across the Directors is imperative to ensure we have the expertise required around the Board table to lead the growing complexity of an AFL club.

“I'd also like to thank Rob Snowdon for the significant contribution he's made across the club as a Director for the last three years.

“Rob's experience and understanding of AFL football has been invaluable and he's also done a terrific job as Chair of Power Community Limited.”

Mr. Fiacchi’s election to the Board will be formalised at the 2024 Annual General Meeting, to be held tonight at the Precinct at Alberton at 6:00pm.

The ballot process was independently conducted by Corpvote Pty Ltd.
