Port Adelaide forward Todd Marshall will be sidelined for an extended period after rupturing his Achilles tendon.
The 26-year-old went down during training on Monday, with scans later confirming the injury.
Port Adelaide Head of Medical Services Tim O'Leary expressed his disappointment for Marshall.
"We are shattered for Todd," O'Leary said.
"We will put plenty of support behind Todd and we know he will approach his rehab with the same positive attitude and resilience that he has shown throughout his career.”
Marshall will undergo surgery this week, with a timeline for his return to become clearer in the coming weeks.
