Aliir sits third on the Fans MG MVP leaderboard.

THE fans have spoken, voting Aliir Aliir as their MG MVP for Round 22.

Aliir backed up his Showdown Medal-winning performance to take out the fans’ award for the second week in a row.

The 26-year old held the fort for Port Adelaide in defence when a plucky Carlton was firing early.

Finishing the night with 19 disposals at 89.5% efficiency, 14 intercepts and eight marks, Aliir takes the maximum five votes and locks himself in the top 3 on the Fans MG MVP leaderboard with one minor round remaining.

Rounding out the votes this week were Ollie Wines (3rd), Willem Drew (4th) and Miles Bergman (5th).

Port Adelaide will now turn its attention to facing the Western Bulldogs in a battle to finish in the top two at the conclusion of the minor round.
