PORT ADELAIDE ruckman Scott Lycett is expected to be available to face the Western Bulldogs this weekend after his jarred knee pulled up well on Monday.
Lycett hurt his right knee in a ruck contest in the second quarter of the win over Carlton on Saturday evening. The 28-year-old played on but was subbed out of the game at three quarter time.
Defender Trent McKenzie is also expected to be available for selection having missed the win over the Blues after experiencing hamstring tightness at training last week.
McKenzie had played eleven consecutive games prior to his absence and will need to prove his fitness to return as the week progresses.
First-year defender Lachie Jones will resume training this week as he continues to make good progress following ankle surgery.
Midfielder/forward Taj Schofield’s season is over following surgery on his right hamstring tendon. The 18-year-old is expected to be ready to resume in time for pre-season training.
Port Adelaide will on Thursday evening name its side to tackle the Bulldogs, with the date and time of that fixture to be confirmed.
