The Port Adelaide Football Club advises defender Jackson Trengove has been placed on the club’s long-term injury list after undergoing surgery on Monday on a fractured metatarsal in his right foot.

Trengove is expected to be sidelined for approximately 10 weeks.

Port Adelaide high performance manager Darren Burgess said:

“Jackson’s metatarsal fracture required surgical fixation with the insertion of a screw.

“He will re-commence running in approximately six weeks and we expect his full rehabilitation program to take ten weeks.”

As a result, rookie-listed midfielder Kane Mitchell has been re-elevated onto the senior list after playing the first three games of the season
