PORT ADELAIDE will prepare for the 2022 AFL Premiership Season by taking on Fremantle and Adelaide in pre-season games.

The scratch match against Fremantle will take place at a venue and on a time and date to be confirmed following discussions between the clubs.

The pre-season Showdown will be played as a twilight fixture on Saturday 5 March at Richmond Oval as part of the AAMI Community Series.

Last season Port Adelaide defeated Adelaide in back-to-back pre-season games as well as in both regular season Showdowns.

Port Adelaide’s players have endured a testing start to pre-season training but will have three weeks off before returning to Alberton to complete their preparations for the new season.
