THE PORT ADELAIDE Football Club is mourning the loss of four-time Premiership player Dean Trowse.
He played 105 games and booted 64 goals in seven seasons, during one of the most successful periods in the club’s history.
Trowse was an important member of the Australian-record-holding side which won six consecutive Premierships in the 1950s.
The group was honoured at this year’s Season Launch and Hall of Fame event as the first premiership team to be inducted into the Port Adelaide Football Club Hall of Fame.

Dean Trowse died on Tuesday after a long illness.
The Port Adelaide Football Club sends its condolences to his family, friends and former club mates.
His loss will be felt by the entire Port Adelaide community.
