Salter bags six, Hombsch impresses
Nick Salter bagged six goals for the Eagles while Jack Hombsch was named in the best for Sturt.
Salter has now booted 13 goals in just three league matches having returned from a long lay-off with repeated foot injuries.
The 25-year-old key position player was named in the Eagles’ best as they romped to an 88-point win over the Bays at Woodville Oval.
Salter, who has played 21 AFL games, hasn’t played for the Power since Round 21, 2011 but will be pushing for selection given the Power’s need for key position players.
Power teammate Paul Stewart was also lively for the Eagles, booting two goals to go with 18 possessions.
Cameron Hitchcock continued his great form in a losing side, racking up 10 inside 50s, 22 possessions and a goal for the Bays.
Meanwhile, at Unley Oval Jack Hombsch impressed for the Double Blues as they lost a nailbiter to the Bloods.
Hombsch was named in the best for Sturt – the key defender amassed 19 possessions as the Double Blues very nearly pulled off a huge upset against ladder leaders West.
