MAGPIES vice-captain Henry Slattery will appear before the SANFL Tribunal on Tuesday night at AAMI Stadium.

The Port Adelaide forward was referred directly to the tribunal after the league's Incident Review Panel deemed a sanction against him using the early guilty plea system to be insufficient.

Slattery was reported for rough conduct following an incident at the end of the second quarter against Sturt's Jack Stephens.

The IRP deemed Slattery's contact to be intentional, of severe force and high contact.
