It is made up of eight players, all of which spent at least some time within the leadership group during 2008.
They are: Dean Brogan, Shaun Burgoyne, Dom Cassisi, Chad Cornes, Kane Cornes, Brendon Lade, Daniel Motlop, and Steven Salopek.
No longer part of the group from last year are Michael Wilson, who retired, and Warren Tredrea, who stood down from the group and as captain last week.
Players were asked to vote for their peers to be part of the group on a preference system.
The leadership group has formalised meetings on a weekly basis, covering all on and off-field issues at the club.
The Power’s formal leadership titles – the captaincy and vice-captaincy – will come from within the leadership group, and are expected to be announced by early next year.
Tredrea’s vice-captains in 2008 were Brendon Lade, Chad Cornes and Shaun Burgoyne.
