AGL have been the proud official energy partner of the Port Adelaide Football Club since 2020, and in 2022 have worked closely with the club on the current upgrades underway at the Alberton Oval precinct.
As part of the partnership, AGL have provided the club with their accredited carbon neutral electricity offering across three respective sites at Alberton Oval, and have also recently installed a solar energy system to further support the clubs overall goal of achieving a reduction in operation costs, and becoming a more sustainable organisation.
A 99.22kW solar system was designed and installed by AGL on the training and administration building at Alberton Oval, and now generates approximately 143MWh of clean, renewable energy annually – which is enough to power around 28 homes in SA per year.
Port Adelaide is extremely grateful for AGL’s support in the helping the club work toward achieving the important goal of reducing emissions and becoming a more sustainable organisation.
