TRAVIS BOAK could achieve a feat only 21 others have done in VFL/AFL history in 2023 should he stay fit.
Currently sitting on 327 AFL games, Boak could become the first Port Adelaide player to play 350 at the highest level.
The 34-year-old continues to be a picture of consistency, managing 21 or more games in every season over the past decade, except the COVID-19 shortened 2020 campaign when he played all 19 games for the club.
He will need to play all 23 home and away games in 2023 to reach the milestone and extend his lead at the top of Port Adelaide’s AFL games played.
The only other player to play 350 league games in Port Adelaide’s history is the great Russell Ebert, who managed a club record 392 in his accolade-filled career.

Among the other potential milestones in 2023, Charlie Dixon could play his 200th AFL game, needing just 11 to get there.
The big forward played 65 games with Gold Coast before crossing to Alberton, where he has added another 124.
His former Suns teammate Trent McKenzie is just four games away from playing his 150th, having featured 106 times with his original club and 33 for Port Adelaide since being signed as a delisted free agent at the end of 2017.
Ruckman Scott Lycett is also on track for game 150 if he can manage 18 AFL games in 2023.
A group of five players – Orazio Fantasia, Jeremy Finlayson, Riley Bonner, Connor Rozee and Todd Marshall – is closing in on 100 AFL games. Fantasia is closest, needing just four to get to the milestone, while Marshall would need to play all games and a final.
Kane Farrell will play his 50th AFL game on his next appearance and Mitch Georgiades (47 games so far) and Miles Bergman (33) could also get to their 50-game milestones next season.
GOALS
Charlie Dixon is closing in on 350 AFL goals, needing 40 in 2023 to reach the milestone. He booted 94 of those while playing at the Gold Coast and his other 216 for Port Adelaide – becoming just the eighth player to boot 200 AFL goals for the club. The big man currently ranks eighth on the club’s all-time AFL goal kickers list and needs 30 goals to overtake Stewart Dew and move into the top five.
Travis Boak is just three goals away from 200, ranking him the ninth overall goalscorer for the club at AFL level behind Dixon.
Orazio Fantasia is on 139 career goals and Jeremy Finlayson is on 111 as both narrow in on 150.
Ollie Wines needs 13 goals to take him to 100, while Connor Rozee (77 goals so far), Sam Powell-Pepper (72) and Mitch Georgiades (63) could also get there in 2023. Only 18 other players have done that before at Port Adelaide in the AFL.
