Gray was quiet in the first half against the Dockers, but exploded in the second half in a match-turning performance.
The coaches gave Gray 9 out of a maximum 10 votes, lifting him to 35 votes and second overall behind Gary Ablett in the 2014 AFLCA Award.
The versatile mid/forward had 24 touches in the second half – including an amazing 14 disposals and 5 clearances in the all-important fourth quarter.
Incredibly, Gray has polled votes in seven of the Power’s eight games in 2014. He is the only player in the AFL to have polled votes in seven matches this year.
Chad Wingard’s five-goal haul didn’t go unnoticed, with the coaches giving him eight votes. Nat Fyfe was best for the Dockers with seven votes.
