PORT ADELAIDE has made four changes including an injection of youth for its Easter Saturday night clash with Sydney.
Trent McKenzie returns to the backline having missed two games with an ankle injury while pressure forward Jed McEntee and strong midfielder Jackson Mead have also been named.
Following a shift into the backline, Dylan Williams has been included for just his second AFL game. His last also came against Sydney in Round 15, 2021 when he was playing as a forward.
It caps a remarkable period for the 21-year-old who was delisted at the end of 2022 before being reclaimed by the club as a rookie.
A quad strain will see last week’s tactical substitute Orazio Fantasia left out of the trip to Sydney while defenders Darcy Byrne-Jones, Tom Clurey and Lachie Jones have each been omitted.
Byrne-Jones, Clurey and Jones have each been included among the emergencies alongside tall forward Ollie Lord who would be making his AFL debut if he were to be named as the tactical sub.
The sub will be named an hour before Saturday night’s 7:30pm AEST / 7:00pm ACST first bounce.
New South Wales based supporters are encouraged to head to the club’s Captain’s Run on Friday afternoon, which will be an open training with autograph and photo opportunities available after the session. Meanwhile, there will also be a pre-match supporter function at the Paddington RSL.
