CAPTAIN Tom Jonas could be in line to return for Port Adelaide’s Anzac Appeal Round game against West Coast on Saturday afternoon.
Jonas was left out of the side that beat the Western Bulldogs at the weekend to allow him to manage a persistent knee injury.
The 32-year-old will be assessed throughout the week leading into the big game against the Eagles to prove he is fit to resume.
Forward Charlie Dixon will also need to prove he is fit to play, having jarred his right knee in a ruck contest late in the win over the Dogs.
Dixon was able to play out the game and will be given every chance to front up at Adelaide Oval this week.
Forward Orazio Fantasia completes Port Adelaide’s injury list, remaining sidelined with a quad strain.
The 27-year-old has resumed running but remains at least three weeks from playing.
Port Adelaide will name its selected side for Saturday afternoon’s match at Adelaide Oval on Thursday evening at 5:50pm ACST.
