The Port Adelaide Football Club congratulates Andrew Dillon on his appointment as the new chief executive officer of the AFL.
Port Adelaide chief executive Matthew Richardson said the club welcomed the news.
“Since joining the AFL in 2000 as legal counsel, Andrew has overseen a raft of key portfolios including game development, and in recent years served as executive general manager football operations, legal and integrity,” Mr Richardson said.
“Andrew has proven for more than two decades to be an outstanding executive and has always been supportive of our club’s needs. We wish him all the best in his new role.”
Mr Richardson thanked outgoing CEO Gill McLachlan for his contribution to the game.
“As CEO since 2014, Gill has successfully overseen some of the greatest challenges in our game, including a global pandemic,” Mr Richardson said.
“Gill has always been a strong advocate for Port Adelaide. We thank him for his significant contribution to the game and wish him and his family all the best for the future.”
