Tall forward Todd Marshall is set for a return to AFL football, while Xavier Duursma will miss eight to 10 weeks with a tear of the posterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.
Marshall sat out Round 7 under concussion protocols but is progressing well and is expected to be cleared to play this weekend.
Duursma exited the ground on Friday night following a collision, and imaging on Sunday confirmed a PCL tear.
The 22-year-old had a solid start to the season, averaging 14.3 disposals on the wing and kicking three majors.
In Sunday’s SANFL win over West Adelaide, defender Jake Pasini suffered a corky to his right quad, while ruckman Scott Lycett crashed onto his back during a contest.
Both players left the ground for the remainder of the match, but the pair have recovered well and are expected to be eligible for selection this week.
Kane Farrell (cheekbone), Mitch Georgiades (ACL) and Orazio Fantasia (quad) remain on the club injury list, with all players progressing as expected.
Port Adelaide will name its extended side for Sunday's match against Essendon at Adelaide Oval on Thursday evening at 5:50pm ACST.
