CAPTAIN Tom Jonas and key forward Todd Marshall will make a return to football this weekend, as Port Adelaide takes on Essendon at Adelaide Oval. 

Jonas comes back in following a one-match ban, while Marshall exited concussion protocols after passing a final test on Friday morning. 

Jase Burgoyne and Ollie Lord have been omitted from the 22 but have both been named emergencies, alongside Francis Evans and Trent Dumont. 

The tactical substitute will be selected from among the emergencies and announced one hour before the first bounce. 

Xavier Duursma has been sidelined with a knee injury, while Riley Bonner has been elevated from last week’s sub to the starting 22. 

Emergencies who are not required on Sunday will be allowed to play in Saturday’s SANFL match against Norwood at Alberton Oval. 

Sunday’s game against the Bombers gets underway at 12:40pm ACST at Adelaide Oval.
