TOM JONAS
“It was good to finally piece together four good quarters of footy, play the way we wanted to play front half and lock it in – the mids did that really well. We were able to get into position and dictate.”
“We kept on winning the ball in the middle, getting it forward and just playing percentage footy. When we had to bring it to the ground we were able to do that. It allowed us to set up in really strong positions and dictate the game from there.”
ANGUS MONFRIES
“For three quarters we were playing okay footy, and then the last quarter we played the way we wanted to play. We played it in our half and were able to kick some goals when we needed to, which was great.”
“It was all about keeping it in our half and working from restarts. Then getting it inside 50 deep, and making the most of our opportunities.”
MATT LOBBE
“It was a scrappy battle all game in the ruck, I wasn’t across the whole ground, but I was just happy to get the win, really.”
“I think we probably played better to the conditions and were surging the ball forward, kicking it quickly when we needed to. It was a midfield battle all day and I think we probably started matching it in the second half. I don’t know the exact numbers, but it definitely felt like that.”
