PREMIER Yartapuulti partner Ray White have made a generous donation of over $5k to the club’s not-for-profit arm, Power Community Limited (PCL), to further support the growth of their industry leading Aboriginal programs.

With $500 donated for every Yartapuulti (Port Adelaide) goal kicked in their blockbuster 4-point win against Narrm (Melbourne) on Friday night, Ray White donated a total of $5,500 to support the Santos Aboriginal Power Cup program and its ambitious growth strategy which aims to change the lives of more First Nations students across regional, remote, and metro South Australia.

PCL’s Aboriginal Program Manager, Braedon Talbot thanked Ray White for their incredible contribution.

“Ray White has made an incredible commitment to our Aboriginal Programs, and I can’t thank them enough for their unwavering support,” Mr. Talbot said.

“We had over 550 First Nations students complete the Santos Aboriginal Power Cup last week, culminating in the Grand Final played on Adelaide Oval and all the students performing a special cultural dance before the bounce on Friday night.

“The program has a significant impact on all these students. They must have a school attendance rate of at least 80%, complete their schoolwork and model good behaviour to be eligible to participate in the football carnival.

“The program has a 96% success rate in reengaging kids in their education, so it’s of critical importance that we can continue to grow the program to change the lives of more young people, and ultimately continue to play a leading role in closing the gap.

“For the first time in the history of the program we were able to bring 35 students from the Aṉangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) down to Adelaide for the carnival, and we’re unable to do these initiatives within the program without support from our partners.

“Donations like this from Ray White make a huge difference in allowing us to continue growing and targeting areas of the state that really need the support, and we’re incredibly grateful”.

Matt Lindblom, Ray White State CEO SA/NT said the team are proud and grateful for the opportunity to support PCL’s programs.

“Power Community Limited Aboriginal programs are of foremost importance; we are proud of our ongoing partnership and grateful to contribute to this worthy cause,” Mr. Lindblom said.

“We resonate with the Yartapuulti Football Club's strong family values, culture and connection with the community."
