PROGNOSES for Hamish Hartlett and Cameron Hitchcock will need to wait until Monday after the two players left the field in Port Adelaide’s grinding 17-point win over Gold Coast today.

Hartlett returned to the match despite being assisted from the ground by trainers with a shoulder injury.

Port Adelaide high performance manager Darren Burgess confirmed the injury to portadelaidefc.com.au but suggested the severity may be minimal considering he was able to see out the game.

He said Hartlett would be assessed at the club in the coming days.

“Hamish had a dead shoulder after copping a pretty reasonable knock,” said Burgess.

“But he came back on so it might not be too bad.

“We’ll see how he pulls up at the club tomorrow – that will give us an indication on whether we look further into it during the week.”

Small forward Cameron Hitchcock was substituted from the game at quarter-time with hamstring tightness.

“Cam had hamstring tightness – he came off after quarter time and said it just wasn’t right,” said Burgess.

“As with Hamish we’ll see how he pulls up, but he’ll probably need further investigation.”

Sam Colquhoun was a late withdrawal from the game earlier in the day with back tightness.

portadelaidefc.com.au will have a comprehensive injury update on Monday morning.
