TRAVIS BOAK has jumped up to sixth in the Shadforth AFLCA Champion Player of the Year Award after a perfect score against North Melbourne.
Boak had 38 disposals in Port’s 16-point win over the Kangaroos, which also saw him named the Peter Badcoe VC Medallist for the third time in his career.
The former skipper is up to 27 points in the award, just 11 points shy of leader Patrick Cripps on 38.
Sam Gray was rewarded for his 28-possession, 4-goal game against the Roos with seven votes, while Tom Clurey (5), Brad Ebert (1) and Connor Rozee (1) also got amongst the votes for the Power.
North’s Ben Cunnington was best for the visitors and received six votes from the coaches.
Nick Vlastuin (Richmond), Scott Pendlebury (Collingwood), Lachie Neale (Brisbane), Lachie Hunter (Western Bulldogs), Jaeger O’Meara (Hawthorn) and Gary Ablett (Geelong) all received the full 10 votes from the weekend.
