PORT ADELAIDE will welcome back captain Tom Jonas and winger Xavier Duursma among a host of changes for Saturday’s game against Carlton at Marvel Stadium.

Jonas hasn’t featured at AFL level since Round 10 but after a solid string of games in the SANFL, the skipper has earned his place back in the 22.

Duursma comes into the side for his first AFL game since suffering a PCL tear in the Round 7 win over St Kilda.

The 23-year-old has performed strongly in two games for the Magpies following his returning from injury.

Scott Lycett has been selected after missing the last two matches with a cartilage tear in his knee, while midfielder Jackson Mead, forward Ollie Lord and defender Jase Burgoyne have also been named.

Charlie Dixon won’t make the trip to Melbourne having pulled up sore after his 200th AFL game and Jason Horne-Francis is being managed after reporting mild back soreness.

An ankle injury will keep backman Trent McKenzie out of the side while Junior Rioli will also sit this weekend out as he travels to the Tiwi Islands to be with his family to mark the one-year anniversary of his father’s passing.

Ryan Burton, Sam Hayes and Quinton Narkle have been omitted from the side, but Burton and Hayes have been named as emergencies alongside Francis Evans and Josh Sinn.

The tactical substitute will be selected from among the emergencies and announced one hour before the first bounce at 4:05pm ACST / 4:35pm AEST.
