PORT ADELAIDE SANFL captain Cam Sutcliffe could miss Saturday’s Showdown against the Crows after being offered a ban by the Match Review Panel.
Sutcliffe was charged with striking Sturt’s James Matthews in the first quarter of Sunday’s win over the Double Blues at Alberton Oval.
The MRP graded the incident as intentional with low impact high contact.
While the offence attracts a base sanction of a two-game ban, Sutcliffe can accept a one-match ban if he enters an early guilty plea.
The game against the Crows will be played from 3:30pm at Adelaide Oval as a curtain raiser to the AFL Showdown.
