PORT ADELAIDE SANFL captain Cam Sutcliffe will miss Saturday’s Showdown against the Crows after pleading guilty to a striking charge.

The SANFL’s Match Review Panel cited the 31-year-old over contact he made with Sturt’s James Matthews in the first quarter of Sunday’s win over the Double Blues at Alberton.

The incident was graded as intentional high contact with low impact.

While the offence usually attracts a two-game ban, Sutcliffe was able to accept a one-match sanction by entering an early guilty plea.
